A very nice place to sit and read a newspaper while sipping a coffee. The coffee here is great, and their carrot cake is wonderful. The bookshop at the back is well stocked, but isn't always open. It's pleasant in the evening too, and there is a good selection of beers. The decor is reminiscent of a 1950s living room, but in a good way. They feature art work on the walls by local artists. If there is a drawback to this place it is that some of the staff can be somewhat haughty. And although I prefer to support local business than the large chain coffee store around the corner from this, the latter does have a better take on what constitutes service. All that aside, I would recommend this cafe.
